Durham, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team played its sixth match of the Eastern European Tour with a 2-3 loss to Linz on Monday, Aug. 19 in Linz, Austria. The Linz team, which placed third last year in Division I, was primarily made up of 21-year-old women.

The Wildcats' record on the Eastern European Tour now stands at 2-4 with two matches remaining in Europe.

UNH was paced by junior outside hitter Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.), who tallied a team-high 21 kills and 18 digs in the losing effort. Senior co-captain Lauren Knight (Centerville, Mass.) registered 11 kills and a team-high 21 digs, while junior co-captain Sasha Scott (North Branford, Conn.) turned in another amazing defensive performance with 19 digs. Junior setter Erin Ludwig (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) notched a team-high 42 assists and chipped in with 10 digs.

The UNH women's volleyball team plays its next match on Tuesday, Aug. 20 with a match in Innsbruck, Austria.

The team continues its Eastern European tour until Aug. 22 and begins the season Friday, Aug. 30 vs. the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
