New Hampshire Volleyball blanks Vermont, 3-0

DURHAM, N.H. - Ten days removed from its last match, the University of New Hampshire volleyball team showed little rust against the University of Vermont on Tuesday at Lundholm Gymnasium, winning easily by a score of 3-0.

Junior co-captain Lauren Knight (Centerville, Mass.) led the way for the Wildcats (5-3) with 14 kills and five digs. Freshman Bonnie Wilson (Moraga, Calif.) was just as effective, compiling 12 kills and five digs to go along with a .455 hitting percentage.

The match scores were 30-11, 30-20, 30-15. Amella Koopman had a team-high six kills for the Catamounts (0-7).

Freshman setter Erin Ludwig (Franklin Lake, N.J.) finished the match with 26 assists and four kills, while improving her season hitting percentage to .433, tops in America East.

Freshman Jen Williams (Mountain View, Calif.) chipped in with 10 digs and three service aces.

The 'Cats return to action on Saturday at Lundholm Gymnasium against Fairfield University. Match time is 2 p.m.
