New Hampshire Volleyball to host BC in home opener

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire volleyball team will look to continue its winning ways against Boston College on Wednesday when the Wildcats host the Eagles in their home opener at Lundholm Gymnasium (7 p.m.).

The 'Cats (1-2) hold a 20-3 advantage on the Eagles (2-1) all-time and have won the last six in a row. The last time UNH lost to BC was in 1996, losing twice that year, the Wildcats' second year back as a varsity program.

Sophomores Alyson Coler (Monte Sereno, Calif.) and Erin Ludwig (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) were named on Monday to the IKON Husky Classic all-tournament team. The Wildcats finished the tourney at 1-2 with Coler and Ludwig both posting strong performances throughout the tournament.

Coler posted three straight doubles-doubles in the tournament, while Ludwig finished the weekend with 74 assists, 27 kills and a .291 hitting percentage from the setter position. Coler's best match came in the 3-0 win over Texas Christian University, as she notched her first double-double of the tourney with 16 kills and 14 digs.
