DAYTON, OHIO. -- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team lost 0-3 to the University of Cincinnati on Friday night in the opening round of the Dayton Tournament. The game scores were 4-15, 6-15, 3-15.
With the loss, the Wildcats drop to 2-3, while Cincinnati improves to 3-2.
Senior outside hitter Jillian Ross (Naperville, Ill.) had a strong showing for the Wildcats, recording a team-high 12 kills, while classmate Jen Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) chipped in with nine kills, three total blocks and hit at a .368 clip.
For Cincinnati, Shauntel Miller tallied a match-high 19 kills and hit for an impressive .760 hitting percentage.
UNH returns to action, Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 am against host University of Dayton and then at 5pm the 'Cats take on Eastern Michigan University in the last match of the Dayton Tournament.
