UNH Volleyball Defeats Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. - The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team recorded its second win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Boston College on Wednesday night at Power Gym in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The game scores were 15-8, 15-8, 15-12.

With the win UNH improves to 2-2, while Boston College drops to 1-3.

UNH was led by senior outside hitter Jillian Ross (Naperville, Ill.) who notched a match-high 10 kills and 13 digs. Senior middle hitter Jen Walker (Fulton, NY) and sophomore outside hitter Lauren Knight each tallied nine kills apiece. Senior co-captain Stacy Barnett (Crystal Lake, Ill.) registered a season-high 34 assists in the win for the Wildcats.

For Boston College, Lauren Schwer posted a team-high eight kills and seven digs.

UNH returns to action on Friday, September 8 vs. the University of Cincinnati at 5 pm at the University of Dayton Tournament.
