DURHAM, N.H.-- The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball player, junior middle blocker Jennifer Walker (Fulton, N.Y) was named America East Player of the Week for the first time this season. Walker had a terrific week recording 32 kills and 13 total blocks. Walker hit for a .439 percentage and notched 15 kills in both the Northeastern and Hartford matches this past weekend.
She currently is fourth on the Wildcats squad with 246 digs and is first in total blocks with 124. Walkers play this week led UNH to a 3-0 record on the week and the 'Cats solidified their No. 2 seed in the America East Tournament this weekend. The 'Cats have a 23-11 overall record and are 12-2 in conference play.
UNH hosts No. 3 seed Northeastern University in the America East semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m in Lundholm Gymnasium.
