UNH Women's Volleyball Pounces Maine

ORONO, MAINE. -The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team extended its AMERICA EAST match winning streak to 20 with clean a 3-0 sweep of the University of Maine on Wednesday night at Memorial Gym. The game scores were 15-1, 15-1, 15-6.

With the win, The 'Cats improve to 15-8 overall and have a perfect 5-0 conference record, while Maine drops to 0-12 and 0-5 in America East play.

UNH was led by junior Katie Jentes (Madbury, N.H.) who recorded a match-high four kills along with freshman Lauren Knight (Centerville, Mass.) who also tallied four kills. Jentes also tallied five service aces and six digs in the victory for the Wildcats. Senior co-captain Bethany Cole (Canterbury, N.H.) also chipped in with three kills, while hitting at a .750 clip.

Wildcat volleyball returns to action on Oct. 23 against the University of Hartford at 1 p.m in West Hartford, Conn. The 'Cats next home match is Oct. 24 vs. Northeastern at 1p.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium.
