UNH Women's Volleyball Downs Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. -The University of New Hampshire women's volleyball team defeated Dartmouth College in three straight games Wednesday night.

UNH had little trouble in winning the non-conference matchup, taking the match 15-3, 15-3 and 15-12. With the win, UNH moves to 9-8 on the year and Dartmouth drops to 4-8.

Leading the way for the Wildcats was junior outside hitter Katie Jentes (Madbury, N.H.). Jentes, who has been coming on strong as of late, finished with a team-high 13 kills. She also added eight digs, three blocks and an ace. Other top hitters for UNH were senior middle hitter Bethany Cole (Canterbury, N.H.) with 10 kills and four blocks and junior middle hitter Jennifer Walker (Fulton, N.Y.) with 10 kills and five blocks. Junior setter Stacy Barnett (Crystal Lake, Ill) once again held the match-high in assists with 45.

UNH next plays at Boston College on Oct. 6 before beginning its America East schedule Oct. 9 at Hofstra.
