Track & Field Concludes Final Day at Sam Howell Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J.  – Sophomore Rosemary Read (West Greenwich, R.I.) captured a sixth-place finish to lead the University of New Hampshire women's track & field team in the second and final day of the Sam Howell Invitational Saturday at Weaver Stadium.

Read was the only member of the Wildcat track & field team in competition on the day and finished sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 160-05.

Select few members of the UNH squad competed in the opening day of invitational on Friday, led by a pair of second-place finishes by seniors Sydney Fitzpatrick (Billerica, Mass.) and Erica Jesseman (Scarborough, Maine) in the 3000 m steeplechase and 5000 m events, respectively.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, April 9 when both teams play host to Holy Cross, Maine and Northeastern in a quad-meet at the Reggie F. Atkins Track & Field Facility.
