Roberts Named America East Women's Swimmer of the Week for Third Time
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior swimmer Jenni Roberts (Springvale, Maine) was tabbed as the America East Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Roberts had a phenomenal week in the pool, registering five first-place finishes in two meets; four of which were individual. Against Dartmouth, she took first in the 200 free en route to setting a Swasey Pool record and registering the top time in America East (1:50.76). She also took gold in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.81, also a top time in the conference. Additionally, she helped the 200 medley relay squad finish first (1:48.08) and took home another win in the 100 fly (55.74).
On Monday against conference foe Boston University, Roberts tallied her fifth gold of the week with a win in the 100 fly, touching the wall with a time of 56.84.
The team will return to the pool Feb. 1 in the last meet before the conference championships as they host the University of Maine. The meet kicks off at 5 p.m.
