Radzevich named women's soccer captain

DURHAM, N.H. - Amber Radzevich (Hampstead, N.H.) has earned the title of captain of the 2003 University of New Hampshire women's soccer team. Radzevich, who is President of UNH's Student-Athlete Athletic Council for the upcoming academic year, will be a senior back this season.

Radzevich, a four-time selection to the America East Academic Honor Roll (1999-2002), redshirted the 1999 season at the University of Hartford before joining New Hampshire for the 2000 season. In her first year as a Wildcat, Radzevich started nine of the 15 matches in which she played while making an immediate impact for the 'Cats in the backfield rotation. As a sophomore in 2001, she was in the starting lineup for 12 of 19 matches and last year she had nine starts in 11 matches.

Radzevich is a 1999 graduate of Pinkerton Academy (Derry, N.H.). She led the Astros in scoring as a freshman, sophomore and junior and was selected to the N.H All-State Team in 1996 and 1997.
