New Hampshire women's soccer bested by Holy Cross, 1-0

WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross women's soccer team scored in the 19th minute and protected that advantage in recording a 1-0 victory against the University of New Hampshire at Fitton Field on Tuesday afternoon.

UNH is now 1-2-2 while Holy Cross improved to 4-1-0 with its fourth consecutive win.

Sarah Comeaux, with the assistance of Kate O'Shaughnessy, placed her shot in the upper-right corner of the net to give the home team a 1-0 lead at 18:06.

UNH goalkeeper Kristen Ouellette (Weatogue, Conn.) made four saves and Holy Cross' Christine Arsenault was credited with two saves.

New Hampshire returns to action this weekend by opening its America East slate with a pair of home matches at Lewis Field. UNH plays Stony Brook on Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. and battles Albany on Sept. 23 (1 p.m.).
