NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware posted a 2-1 victory over the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team here this afternoon. The win improves the Fightin' Blue Hens to 11-5-1 overall and 4-3-0 in America East while the 'Cats now stand at 4-11-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the league.

New Hampshire would score just 4:07 into the game when freshman Ana Tobon (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored on a pass from classmate Kristin Kearney (Sandown, N.H.) to give UNH a 1-0 lead. The 'Cats held that 1-0 lead until the 43rd minute, when Delaware's Francesca Termini would score to make it 1-1.

The game remained knotted at 1 until the 86th minute, when Termini scored on a feed from Maria Pollaro to give UD the 2-1 lead and the victory.

Kristen Ouellette (Weatogue, Conn.) went the distance in net for the 'Cats and made five saves, while Delaware keeper Rachel Bersin turned away one shot.

New Hampshire returns home on Friday (10/27) when they face the Dragons of Drexel University. Game time at Lewis Field is 3:00 p.m.
