HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - Penny Stansfield scored two second half goals for Hofstra University as the Flying Dutchwomen defeated the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team 3-0, Sunday.
UNH (6-10-1) managed ten shots on goal, but could not find the back of the net. Wildcat junior goalkeeper Stephanie Springer (Solana Beach, Calif.) picked up five saves in the loss.
Allyson Pullano scored for Hofstra in the sixth minute, giving the Flying Dutchwomen a 1-0 lead. Stansfield added two insurance goals in the second half, sealing the victory.
The Wildcats wrap up the season when they host Providence on Wednesday, October 27th at 3:30 p.m.
