DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire women's soccer goalkeeper Stephanie Springer (Solana Beach, Calif.) was named America East Player of the Week on Monday. The junior Wildcat recorded back-to-back 1-0 shutouts last week against Harvard University and Ohio University, with a season high 11 saves vs. Harvard.
Springer has a goals against average of 1.17 and a save percentage of .811 to go along with her 30 saves.
Springer has played every minute of the season for UNH (4-2). This is her first year as the full time goalkeeper after splitting time with since graduated Lorien Snellings, last season.
UNH returns to action Friday to play America East opponent Boston University at home at 4 p.m.
