DURHAM, N.H. – Annika Taylor (Truckee, Calif.), a sophomore on the University of New Hampshire skiing team, was named Tuesday as the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) female Nordic Skier of the Week. At last weekend's Colby Carnival, Taylor raced to her first career first-place finish in the 15K freestyle Sunday, one day after finishing second in the 5K classic.

Through two carnivals and four Nordic races, Taylor is currently EISA's second-ranked skier in both free technique and classical racing disciplines. The Wildcats' women's team has registered wins in all four races.
Taylor and the UNH Nordic skiing team are back in action for the Vermont Carnival on Feb. 2-3 at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vt. The Wildcats are in second place with 394 points following the carnival's two alpine races, which occurred Jan. 11-12 at Mt. Mansfield.
