DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire ski coordinator/Nordic head coach Cory Schwartz and alpine head coach Brian Blank announced Monday their incoming recruits for the Wildcats' skiing program for the 2012-13 academic year. The class features five alpine skiers –three female, two male- and three Nordic skiers –two female and one male.

Caroline Barry transfers to UNH after two seasons with the St. Lawrence University ski program. In 2012, Barry notched a pair of ninth-place finishes in slalom and giant slalom at the Williams Carnival and collected four top-20 results during the EISA season. She had an outstanding EISA rookie campaign with the Saints, picking up three top-25 finishes in 2011. The Pittsfield, Mass., native posted back-to-back top-20 showings at the Colby Carnival and a 23rd-place finish in the giant slalom at the Vermont Carnival. Barry previously competed for the Stratton Mountain School alpine skiing and soccer teams.
Max Christman comes to the men's Nordic ski team after a successful racing career at Bend Endurance Academy, Sun Valley SEF and Wenatchee Valley Nordic. Christman competed in four Scandinavian Cup races in Latvia and Estonia while traveling with the Junior U23 World Team and the U.S. Development Team earlier this year. He earned a 10th-place finish in the 2011 Junior Olympics in Minneapolis, Minn.
Claire Galvin joins the Nordic team after competing for Southwest High School in Minneapolis, Minn. Galvin, a two-time All-City, All-Section and All-State champion, developed her skills at F.A.S.T. Performance Training with Bill Pierce and Go! Training with Piotr Bednarski. She finished second in classic sprint qualifiers, fifth overall in classic sprints, and ninth in the 10K skate at 2012 Junior Nationals.
Celine Guilmineau joins the women's alpine team after previously skiing for the Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club and the Anega Ski Team. Guilmineau participated in the U.S. Nationals in both 2011 and 2012 and, in 2009, won the J3 Junior Olympic downhill, took third place in the J3 Olympic SL and finished first overall in the J3 J.O. in Vail, Colo.
Emily Larson joins the women's Nordic squad after being a three-time member (2010-12) of the Rocky Mountain Region Junior Olympic Top 20 for the Western Regional Elite Group.
Charles McConville joins the men's alpine team after competing for the Ontario Ski Team and the Devils Glen Country Club.
Jay Ogle joins the men's alpine team after graduating from the Stratton Mountain School. He spent the previous two years competing for Mount Mansfield Ski Club. In 2012, Ogle competed in the U.S. National Championships at Winter Park, where he finished 24th in GS. He added a 16th-place finish in GS at the UVM Carnival.
Randa Teschner, who competed for Team Canada in the 2012 World Championships, will join the Wildcat women's alpine ski team. Teschner previously skied for coaches Jeff Lackie and Cam Twible on the Ontario Ski Team and coach Chris Powers on the National Capital Outaouais Ski Team. She finished first in the junior division and 10th overall in slalom at the 2012 Nor-Am.
