WOMEN'S LACROSSE PRESENTS 2011 SCHEDULE

DURHAM, N.H. – Second-year University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse head coach Michael Daly has announced the 2011 schedule comprised of 16 regular-season games, six of which will be played at UNH's Memorial Field.

The Wildcats open the season in February with road games against College of the Holy Cross (Feb. 23) and intrastate rival Dartmouth College (Feb. 26). UNH plays its home opener against regional foe University of Massachusetts on March 2.

New Hampshire hits the road that weekend for a game against Colgate University and returns to the road the following weekend vs. Fairfield University before playing host to George Mason University on the 14th of March.

The 'Cats travel south to play Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn. on March 16 and continues further south to play Presbyterian College in Atlanta on the 18th. UNH's stretch of four consecutive games away from home continues against UMBC (March 26) and Harvard (April 1).

UNH then plays four of its next five games at home. Boston University, the defending America East champion, travels to Durham for an April 6 tilt and then the Wildcats travel to play at the University at Albany (April 9) before a three-game homestand vs. Stony Brook University (April 16), University of Vermont (April 23) and Boston College (April 29).

The regular season closes on the road against conference foe Binghamton University on May 1. The America East Championship will be played May 5-7 at the site of the highest seed; UNH's active streak of 13 consecutive postseason appearances is a league record.
