CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Hayley Rausch (Severna Park, Md.), a sophomore midfielder on the  19th-ranked University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team, was named Player of the Week by America East on Monday.

Rausch tallied nine points with six goals and three assists – she also contributed three ground balls, two caused turnovers and three draw controls – to lead UNH to victories against the College of the Holy Cross (10-4 on Feb. 24) and 16th-ranked Dartmouth College (9-8 on Feb. 27).

She recorded four goals and an assist for five points in the season opener vs. Holy Cross; both the goal and point totals were career highs. Rausch helped the Wildcats build a 5-2 halftime lead vs. Dartmouth with a pair of assists, then helped the 'Cats maintain that lead with a pair of second-half goals.

Rausch leads the 2010 Wildcats in goals (six), points (nine) and shots (10). She is second in shooting percentage (.600), tied for second in assists and is third in both ground balls and draw controls.

In 20 career games, Rausch has 23 goals and nine assists for 30 points.

New Hampshire (2-0, 0-0 America East) returns to action March 3 (3 p.m.) at the University of Massachusetts. The Wildcats' next home game is March 6 against Colgate University. Game time at Memorial Field is 12 p.m.
