KAPLAN, MAZUR SELECTED TO LACROSSE ALL-CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM
STONY BROOK, N.Y.  – Junior defender Bailley Mazur (Longmeadow, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Shaunna Kaplan (Framingham, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women’s lacrosse team were named to the 2007 America East All-Championship Team following the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday.
    Mazur, who was named to the America East All-Conference First Team prior to the tournament, recorded one ground ball, one caused turnover and two draw controls for the Wildcats in the team’s 16-4 loss to 20th-ranked Boston University in a May 4 semifinal game at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on the campus of Stony Brook University.
    Kaplan, an America East All-Rookie Team selection, factored into all four of UNH’s goals vs. the Terriers to match her career highs in both goals (three) and points (four). She was also credited with one ground ball.
    UNH, which advanced to its conference-record 10th consecutive America East Championship tourney, ended the year at 7-10 overall, 4-2 in America East.
