Senior attack Katie Leland (Timonium, Md.) and senior goakeeper Maghan Grahn (Roseau, Minn.), as well as junior attack Leanne Ferretti (Sound Beach, N.Y.), of the University of New Hampshire women’s lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association announced recently.


Kristin Blanchette (Sudbury, Mass.) and Katie Leland (Timonium, Md.), senior captains on the 2006 University of New Hampshire women’s lacrosse team, both scored a second-half goal to spark the North team to an 18-13 victory against the South in the 2006 STX Farewell Festival Division I game June 10 at Johns Hopkins University.



DURHAM, N.H. - Katie Leland (Timonium, Md.) of the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was named to the IWLCA Northeast Region All-America First Team and teammates Kristin Blanchette (Sudbury, Mass.) and Christine Carbone (Nashua, N.H.) were Second Team honorees, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced Wednesday. These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA/US Lacrosse All-America Team that will be announced May 30.
