Rob Day, who has been coaching
goalies for 25 years, joined the UNH women's ice hockey coaching
staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2011-12 season. He has
served as the goalie coach for the NH Junior Monarchs (EJHL) for
the past 12 seasons and has helped many of their goaltenders move
on to the collegiate level.
Day's company, Puckstoppers Goaltending, which has locations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine, has helped a number of goalies achieve their dreams of college and professional hockey. Six received NCAA All-America (D1 and D3) recognition over the past seven years, many have been league all-stars and several have represented the U.S. in international competition. His protégés have also been successful at the prep and high school levels.
Day has also served as a lecturer for USA Hockey and a writer for several hockey publications.
Day is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
