Faber, named Rookie of the Week by Hockey East on Monday, extended her point-scoring streak to seven games and vaulted UNH into first place in Hockey East with four points (two goals, two assists) in last week's Wildcats' victories against Providence College (2-1) and Boston College (6-1). She scored the game-winning goal, a shorthanded tally with 8:22 remaining in regulation, at 10th-ranked Providence and recorded a goal and two assists at BC. The two assists and three points matched her personal bests. Faber also recorded a plus/minus rating of +4 with a +3 at BC and +1 at Providence.
UNH's Leah Craig (Seaforth, Ontario) received the Offensive Player of the Week award from USCHO on Oct. 25 and Martine Garland (Toronto, Ontario) was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 29.
Faber is one of three UNH skaters with double digits in both goals (10) and assists (19) to rank second on the team in assists, third in points and fifth in goals. She leads UNH rookies in all three of those statistics, and her numbers also rank 25th in the nation in points (1.12 per game), 13th in assists (0.73 per game) and seventh in rookie scoring (1.12 ppg). In addition, Faber leads the Wildcats in shorthanded goals (two) as well as plus/minus (+30), and is fifth in shooting percentage (.133).
