Three UNH skaters selected to Hockey Canada Under-22 development camp

CALGARY, Alberta - Martine Garland (Toronto, Ontario), Nicole Hekle (Winnipeg, Manitoba) and Stephanie Jones (Kimberley, British Columbia) of the University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team were invited by Hockey Canada to attend a National Women's Under-22 development camp in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, from Aug. 10-17.

A roster of 22 players will be selected from the 40 camp participants to represent Canada in a three-game series versus Team USA's National Under-22 Team in Montreal from Aug. 20-23.

Jones, who will be a junior at UNH this season, led the Wildcats in goals in both her sophomore and freshman campaigns. Last year, she ranked third in the nation in game-winning goals (eight) and 19th in goals (0.61 per game) in addition to leading the team in points (37). In two years at UNH, Jones has 39 goals and 28 assists for 67 points in 72 games.

Garland, a defenseman, and Hekle, a forward, are incoming freshmen to New Hampshire.
