UNH women's hockey climbs to No. 7

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team climbed one spot to No. 7 in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll that was released Tuesday. UNH also advanced one spot to No. 8 in this week's USCHO.com Poll.

UNH improved to 9-1-1 over the weekend with a two-game sweep of then-No. 10 Princeton University. The Wildcats won Saturday's series opener, 2-1, in overtime and were 7-3 victors on Sunday.

In the USA Today/AHM poll, the 'Cats moved ahead of Wisconsin. UNH jumped ahead of Providence College in the USCHO.com poll to become the highest-ranked Women's Hockey East team in both polls.

New Hampshire returns to action Nov. 21 (7 p.m.) at Northeastern University. The next Wildcat home game is Nov. 30 against Niagara University. Game time at the Whittemore Center is 2 p.m.
