Durham, N.H.-Senior center Carisa Zaban (Glenview, Ill) of the University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team was named the ECAC/Franklin Player of the Week Monday.
It was the second time Zaban received the Player of the Week award this season, and the seventh ECAC Honor overall.
Zaban netted her second hat trick in as many games with three goals in UNH's 9-1 victory over Northeastern on Saturday. She became just de fourth Wildcat to score 100 career goals with the first of her three goals in the game against Erika Silva, the best goaltender in the conference entering the game.
Zaban then added two goals in the 3-1 win over Providence on Sunday. She put the Wildcats on the board and then added a power play goal in the second period to give the Wildcats a 3-0 lead. Zaban found the net against the No. 2 goaltender in the conference entering the game in Sara DeCosta.
The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday night when they host the U.S. Women's National Team at 7 p.m.
