CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- Denise Beliveau (Framingham, Mass.), a freshman on the University of New Hampshire women’s basketball team, was named America East Rookie of the Week for the second time this season as announced Monday afternoon.

The forward led the team in rebounding both games this past week, pulling down seven against Boston College then six in the Wildcats’ win over Colgate. She posted eight points against the Eagles and was the team’s second-leading scorer with a career-high 18 points against the Raiders. In addition, Beliveau had a career-high five steals in the Wildcats’ win over Colgate and now leads the conference in that category, averaging 2.50 takeaways per game.

She averaged 13.0 points per game last week and has a season average of 10.3 ppg and 5.7 rebounds per game, placing her among the conference leaders in both categories.
