Women’s Basketball Announces NLI
DURHAM, N.H. - University of New Hampshire women’s basketball head coach Kristin Cole has announced her first player to have signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Wildcats beginning in the 2008-09 season is Kelsey Hogan (Nashua, N.H.). “I am extremely excited that Kelsey has chosen to join the UNH family,” said Cole, “She is a wonderful young woman who will make an immediate impact on our program and the university.”
    Hogan, who is in her fourth season with the Nashua North High School basketball team, is rated 153rd in the Blue Star Index Top-200. She has served as team captain since her sophomore season and has been on the All-State and All-Area Teams each of the past three seasons. Hogan was also selected to the All-Academic Team her junior year. The McDonald’s All-America nominee has chosen to play instate for the Wildcats over offers from Marist and the University of Maine. Hogan has accumulated 796 points and is on pace to break the 1,000-point mark. She has pulled down 210 rebounds, 232 assists, 334 steals and 12 blocked shots in her three years as Titan.
    The five-foot-seven point guard plays AAU basketball for the New England Crusaders. Hogan, who will graduate from Nashua North in 2008, also played volleyball and softball for the Titans.
