BOOTHE NAMED WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ASSISTANT COACH
DURHAM, N.H. – Kristin Cole, head coach of the University of New Hampshire women’s basketball team, has announced the hiring of Tara Boothe as assistant coach.

“I am thrilled that Tara Boothe has decided to join our staff,” Cole said. “Her experience as a player and her passion to help our players develop will benefit our program tremendously. She is a wonderful addition to our family.”

Boothe, a Xavier University standout from 2002-06 under Cole’s tutelage, finished her career as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 2,324 points. She is also Xavier's all-time leading rebounder and finished her career with 1,004 career boards. Her collegiate honors included three All-Atlantic 10 First Team selections (2004, ‘05, ‘06), 2003 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, All-Atlantic 10 Third Team in 2003 and three consecutive seasons on the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team.

From 2006-07, Boothe played professionally for Universite BC Neuchatel in Switzerland's elite league. Her team won the Swiss Championship and Boothe, who led the team in scoring and rebounding, was named MVP of the league.
