WOMEN’S BASKETBALL CRUISES PAST BISHOP’S UNIVERSITY, 64-36
DURHAM, N.H. – Forwards Danielle Clark (Corinna, Maine) and Danielle Flowers (Chalfont, Pa.) each scored 16 points to lift the University of New Hamsphire women’s basketball team past Bishop’s University, 64-36, in a non-conference exhibition Friday evening at Lundholm Gymnasium.
    Anouk Boulanger led BU in scoring with 15 points while teammate Laure Pitfield scored 12.
    Senior guard Whitney Edwards (Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) registered six points and dished out six assists for New Hamsphire.
    New Hampshire shot 26 of 55 from the field and grabbed 26 rebounds to defeat the Gaiters.  BU shot 15 of 49 from the field and brought down 26 boards.
    New Hampshire led throughout most of the game when it built a 34-17 lead going into the half and went on to outscore the Gaiters 30-19 in the second half.  The Wildcats held a 23-point lead with 16:31 remaining in the game.
    The Wildcats were able to score most of their points inside with 32 points scored in the paint.  They were also able to capitalize on Bishop turnovers and score 13 points.
    New Hampshire opens its season at Massachusetts on November 14 at 7 p.m.
