WOMEN'S BASKETBALL STRIVES FOR SUCCESS AGAINST PROVIDENCE

New Hampshire enjoyed its second win of the season and second straight win at Lundholm and looks to continue its success at home. Senior forward Danielle Clark scored 21 points against Iona and looks to score here 1,000th point tonight against the Friars. The Wildcat offense is coming alive and is averaging 60.2 points a game.
Providence enters the game sporting a 6-1 record and is looking for a rebound from its 72-68 loss at North Carolina on November 24. Sophomore guard Chelsea Marandola is leading the Friars in scoring
with 18.9 points a game and also leads in rebounding with 8.7 bpg.

SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE

    New Hampshire enters the game with a balanced 2-2 record after defeating Iona College, 72-61, at Lundholm earlier this week.  The Wildcat offense is firing on all cylinders as the team is averaging 60.2 points and 35.0 rebounds a game.  Senior forward Danielle Clark leads the team in scoring with 15.8 points a game. 
   
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
    The Friars are off to their best start since the 1990-91 season when they began the year at 7-0.  They enter tonight’s game with a 7-1 record and are outscoring their opponents 70.1-60.4.  Sophomore guard Chelsea Marandola is shooting 58.2 percent from the field (46 of 69) and is 33-for-36 at the free throw line.  Marandola also leads in rebounding with 8.7 boards a game. 

America East Player of the Night
    Danielle Clark was selected as the America East Player of the Night on November 26 as she scored a season-high 21 points for New Hampshire to defeat Iona College, 72-61.  Clark is currently sixth in the conference in total offensive scoring.

FOR THE 1000TH TIME
    Senior forward Danielle Clark is now seven points away from eclipsing the 1000-point mark (993).  Currently, she ranks 13th all time on the Wildcat points leader board.
    Clark played in all 28 games last season and averaged 15 points per game last season.  She is currently seventh all-time in made three-pointers with 93.
