National "Take a Kid to a Game" Basketball Campaign

Women's basketball is a game defined by teamwork, dedication and hard work. The University of New Hampshire Women's Basketball team invites all area youths to come and witness what NCAA women's basketball is all about this Sunday, January 14, 2001 for the "Take a Kid to a Game" program. Kids, ages 12 and under, will receive free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket to watch the UNH Wildcats take on the Black Bears of Maine at noon at the Whittemore Center.

This one-of-a-kind initiative will be promoted at more than 500 women's and men's collegiate basketball games across the country during the 2000-2001 season. The NCAA women's basketball Take a Kid to a Game program, presented by Regal by Buick and supported by NCAA Basketball, is entering its sixth year.

UNH Women's Basketball Presents "The Maine Event" and Encourages Community to Participate in Sunday is also known as "The Maine Event" and all fans are just $3. In addition, all Kids' Club members will be admitted into the game for free with their membership card. All youths are also invited to a post-game autograph session with the UNH Women's Basketball team.
