Sinotte Leads Men’s Cross Country at Pre-Nationals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior Cory Sinotte (Manchester, N.H.) placed 27th overall to lead the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team to a 12th-place finish in the 24-team unseeded division at the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet Saturday at Tom Sawyer State Park.

The Wildcats totaled 301 points, while No. 26 Indiana topped the field with 83 points.

Sinotte, who has now led the Wildcats in three of his four meets this season, completed the 8-kilometer course in a time of 24:52.2. Sinotte placed 83rd overall and paced UNH at last week's Paul Short Invitational.

Senior Daniel DeCrescenzo (New Milford, Conn.) placed 85th in a time of 25:36.8, while sophomore John Prizzi (Wyckoff, N.J.) captured 110th at 25:45.2.

Sophomore Jeff Moretti (Guilford, Conn.) and junior Joseph Jourdain (Hudson, N.H.) placed 123rd and 138th, respectively, in times of 25:52.7 and 26:04.0.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday Oct. 27 when they host the America East Championships at College Woods. The men's side is slated to start at 11 a.m.
