MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES NINTH AT AMERICA EAST CHAMPIONSHIPS

BOSTON – Sophomore Kent Harlow (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) and senior Andrew Dionne (Westerly, R.I.) placed 35th and 38th, respectively, as the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team finished ninth at the America East Championships on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park.

The Wildcats recorded 229 points, while host Boston University won the meet with 45 points.

Harlow ran the nine-kilometer course in 25 minutes, 47.74 seconds, while Dionne finished in 25:49.62.

Sophomore David Gervais (Nashua, N.H.) and senior Michael Peabody (Londonderry, N.H.) crossed the finish line in 56th and 57th, respectively, in times of 26:36.00 and 26:37.21.

Freshman Joseph Jourdain (Hudson, N.H.) placed 65th overall in a time of 26:50.70.

Freshman Sean Leighton (Hampstead, N.H.) finished 74th in a time of 27:11.77.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, Nov. 13 at the NCAA East Regional at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Conn.
