MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES THIRD AT PAUL SHORT INVITE

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Joseph Jourdain (Hudson, N.H.) and senior Alex Beaulieu (Merrimack, N.H.) finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively, as they lead the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team to a third-place finish overall at the 40-team Paul Short Invitational on the campus of Lehigh University.

With 181 points, the Wildcats were the top America East finisher and placed behind Princeton University (36) and Colgate University (169).

Jourdain finished in 26 minutes, while Beaulieu was just behind at 26:03.

Sophomore Kent Harlow (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) checked in at 26:09 with a 32nd-place finish. Senior Andrew Dionne (Westerly, R.I.) was 49th in the 357-runner field in a time of 26:24.

Freshman John Corona (Middletown, Conn.) finished 55th in a time of 5:20, while sophomore Patrick Taft (Hanson, Mass.) was 97th at 26:53.

Senior Michael Peabody (Londonderry, N.H.) rounded out the Wildcat finishers, placing 228th in a time of 28:16.

The Wildcats return to action Friday, Oct. 9 (12 p.m.) at the New England Championship at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
