BRONX, N.Y. – Junior Brent Powers (Remsden, N.Y.) placed fourth overall to lead the University of New Hampshire men’s cross country team to victory at the ECAC/ICAAAA Championships at Van Cortland Park on Saturday afternoon.

Powers completed the five-mile course in a time of 25 minutes, 54 seconds, which was just one second behind the third-place finisher and nine seconds slower than the runner-up.

The Wildcats scored 62 points to edge out the U.S. Military Academy (67) and 23 other teams.

The Wildcats placed two more runners inside the top 10 of the 211-runner field. Sophomores Wesley Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) and Joshua Kearns (Ridgefield, Conn.) finished eighth and ninth, respectively. Dinnan recorded a time of 26:21, while Kearns clocked in at 26:23.

Sophomore Wesley Moseman (Remsden, N.Y.) came in 19th in a time of 26:40, while junior Matthew O’Connor (Rhinebeck, N.Y.) was 22nd with a time of 26:44.

The Wildcats end their productive season, having recorded five first-place showings, including at the America East Championships.
