UNH men's cross country places 27th at New Englands

BOSTON - The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team amassed 718 points to place 27th in the New England Men's Varsity 2005 Cross Country Championship, which was held Oct. 8 at Franklin Park.

Brown won the 47-team event with a score of 40 points.

UNH was led by Rodolfo Crispin (Ridgewood, N.J.), who ran the 4.95-mile course in 26 minutes, 54 seconds. Ben Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) crossed the finish line five seconds later to place 106th.

Nicholas Jenkins (Francestown, N.H.) was the third Wildcat finisher, and his time of 27:13 earned 135th place. Mark Page (Ogunquit, Maine; 175th place; 27:35) and Brandon Williams (Hooksett, N.H.; 208th; 28:03) completed the UNH scoring.

The UNH men's cross country team returns to action Oct. 15 at the Albany Invitational.
