CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior George Jumpp (Manchester, N.H.) posted a top-8 finish to lead the University of New Hampshire men's track & field team on day two of the New England Championships on Friday on the campus of MIT.
With two points, the Wildcats are in 22nd-place after two days of competition while Rhode Island (53) is in first heading into the final day on Saturday.
In the hammer throw, Jumpp placed seventh with a toss of 178-08, while junior Chris Dupuis (Plaistow, N.H.) took ninth at 174-02.
Freshman D'mahl McFadden (Penacook, N.H.) placed ninth in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles, narrowly missing the cut for Saturday's finals.
The Wildcats wrap up the New England Championships on Saturday, May 12.
