Men's Track & Field Competes at New England Championships
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Kevin Greene (Silver Spring, Md.) and senior Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) each captured individual titles as the University of New Hampshire men's track & field team finished seventh at the New England Championships over the weekend on the campus of MIT.
The Wildcats totaled 37 points in the three-day competition while Rhode Island came in first with 169 points.
Greene, who took third in the 800 meters at last week's America East Championships, won the 29-runner field in a time of 1:50.28.
Dinnan captured the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:53.24, while freshman John Prizzi (Wycoff, N.J.) placed fourth at 3:54.88, topping the field of 30 runners.
In the hammer throw on day two, junior George Jumpp (Manchester, N.H.) placed seventh with a toss of 178-08.
The Wildcats return to action at the NCAA East Regionals on May 26-27.
