UNH Men’s Track & Field Competes at Jay Carisella Invite

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Brice Paey (Milton, N.H.) and sophomore Kevin Greene (Silver Spring, Md.) each turned-in first-place finishes to lead the University of New Hampshire men's indoor track & field team at the Jay Carisella Carnival on Saturday afternoon at the Reggie Lewis Center.

Greene won the 1,000 meters in a time of 2:30.33, while freshman Timothy Brown placed sixth in the event in a time of 2:36.64.

Paey captured the shot put with a toss of 17.66 meters, while junior Cameron Lyle (Plaistow, N.H.) finished fourth at 15.01 meters. Lyle also took fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.14 meters.

The Wildcats' 4x400 meter relay team also picked up a first-place finish in a time of 3:22.29. The team consisted of seniors Jake McDougle (Walpole, N.H.), William Godfrey (Merrimack, N.H) and Sean Mitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass.) along with junior Victor Adejuyigbe (Penacook, N.H.).

Freshman D'Mahl McFadden (Penacook, N.H.) and Adejuyigbe placed second and third, respectively, in the 200 meters in times of 22.88 and 22.93. Adejuyigbe also took seventh in the 55 meters in a time of 6.72.

McFadden also placed second overall in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 7.71.

Godfrey ran to a third-place finish in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line on a time of 1:05.34.

Sophomore Eric Stys (Stittville, N.Y.) finished fourth in the 800 meters in a time of 2:00.09.

Freshman Jeffrey Moretti (Guilford, N.H.) and sophomore Cory Sinotte (Hooksett, N.H.) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 3,000 meters in times of 8:52.65 and 8:52.94

In the field, junior Matthew Guarente (Saugus, Mass.) took fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.93 meters.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Dec. 10 when they visit Maine at 12 p.m.
