MEN’S SOCCER EDGES HARTFORD, 2-1

WEST HARTFORD, Conn.
– University of New Hampshire midfielder Kyle Urso (Lombard, Ill.) recorded both a goal and an assist that led to a 2-1 victory over the University of Hartford, Saturday evening on Al-Marzook Field.
    New Hampshire (10-4-2, 4-2-0 America East) has now won five straight matches, including four conference wins.  Hartford falls to 4-6-4 overall and 2-4-0 in the conference.
Urso scored the game’s first goal at 8:26 on a direct kick into the goal.  Minutes later, Hartford evened up the score with an unassisted goal from forward Oswald Adu at 14:30.
    New Hampshire broke the tie minutes into the second half with a goal from forward Chris Banks (Westborough, Mass.) at 49:15.  Urso picked up the assist on the play.
    Hartford outshot New Hampshire 9-7 while New Hampshire held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks. 
    New Hampshire goalkeeper Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) made three saves in goal for the Wildcats.  Matt Glaeser had one save for Hartford. 
    New Hampshire will host its final home game of the regular season against UMBC on Wednesday October 18 at 7 p.m. on Bremner Field.
