DURHAM, N.H.- The University of New Hampshire men’s soccer team, which finished the season 12-5-3 including 6-2-1 in the America East, announces five spring games, all of which will be played at New Hampshire’s Bremmer Field. The spring schedule is highlighted by a game against a professional soccer club.
    The Wildcats open up the spring season by hosting the NH Phantoms of the USL on Sat., March 24. The game will be played under the lights on Bremmer Field at 7 p.m. The Wildcats will play America East foe Maine on Sat., March 31. Kickoff between the Wildcats and the Black Bears is 4 p.m. New Hampshire defeated Maine, 2-0, last season in Durham.
    In April, New Hampshire will face UMass-Lowell and Southern New Hampshire, both of the Northeast-10 league. The Wildcats will host the UMass-Lowell River Hawks on Sat., April 14 at 6 p.m. The intrastate match-up between the New Hampshire Wildcats and the Southern New Hampshire Hawks will take place on Fri., April 20 at 7 p.m. The spring season concludes with a game against Granite State rival Dartmouth on Sun., April 22 at 2 p.m. The Wildcats and the Big Green drew to a scoreless tie last season at Dartmouth.
    The team, whose record was its best since 1994 and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament, looks to showcase newcomer Joey Twum-Barima (Essex, England) along with 22 returning players during the spring season. For more information on the New Hampshire men’s soccer program, visit
