UNH Men's Soccer Opens Spring Season Against NH Phantoms

The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team opened its 2006 spring campaign playing New Hampshire's USL Division 2 professional team, the NH Phantoms, to a 0-0 tie March 24 on Bremner Field.

Junior Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and sophomore Michael Jenne (Vernon, N.Y.) shared goalkeeping duties in the shutout, both playing 45 minutes. Five Phantoms players had UNH connections. Two former Wildcat captains, Eric Masi (2005) and Tyler Jackson (2004), along with current men's assistant coach Marc Hubbard started for the Phantoms. Former Wildcats Ben Utter and Chris Bennice also played in the match. The Wildcats will host the Phantoms again on Bremner Field at 7:30 pm, Friday, April 14.
