UNH MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS MAINE TIES SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team defeated the University of Maine 1-0 and played to a 0-0 tie against Southern New Hampshire University Sunday, April 18 at Bremner Field. UNH goaltending pitches two shutouts in 180 minutes of play.

UNH beat Maine 1-0 on a first-half goal by Tyler Jackson (Amherst, N.H.). UNH goalkeepers Mike Vignola (Hudson, N.H.) and Brian Levey (Pittsburgh, Pa.) combined for a shutout.

In the second game of the double-header, junior goalkeeper Todd Kratt (Hampton, N.H.) and freshman netminder Mike Jenne (Vernon, N.Y.) held the Penmen scoreless as the teams played to a hard-fought 0-0 tie.

UNH continues its spring schedule on Saturday, April 24 in its annual alumni game. Game time is 3 p.m. at Bremner Field.
