DURHAM, N.H. - Christian Pauckstadt (Wuppertal, Germany) of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team was named to the Verizon Academic All-District Second Team released Thursday. A senior defender, Pauckstadt is a business administration major at UNH.

A three-year member of the Wildcats, Pauckstadt has started all 15 games he has appeared in this season and a total of 38 games over his career. This season, he has been a part of a UNH defense that has allowed an America East-low 20 goals en route to the 'Cats 10-4-2 record and a berth in the America East tournament. Pauckstadt also served as co-captain this season.

Pauckstadt is a two-time America East Academic Honor Roll selection and received the UNH men's soccer program's H. Richard Sandler Award for academic achievement in 2000. Last season, he received the squad's Harvey Johnson award as the most inspirational player on the team.
