Purcell Receives All-New England Second Team Honors

Durham, N.H.-Junior forward Adam Purcell (Barrington, R.I.) of the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team was named to the All-New England Second Team recently.

Purcell finished his junior season ranked second in the nation in goals per game with a 1.17 average. He was sixth in the nation in points per game with 2.44 on 21 goals and two assists for 44 points. He tied the school record for number of goals scored in a game with five against Maine, October 30.

In addition to All-New England honors, Purcell received AMERICA EAST Player of the Year and AMERICA EAST Player of the Week honors. He garnered second team All-New England honors last year as well.
