Ohio State Blanks UNH Men's Soccer 5-0

University Park, Pa.- In the second day of the Penn State NIKE Classic, the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team 5-0.

With the loss, the Wildcats drop to 3-4-0 on the season.

The Buckeyes cruised out to a 3-0 lead in the first half as the Wildcats did not take a shot on goal. Ohio State added two more goals in the second half for the 5-0 shutout.

Ohio State goaltender Kerry Thompson made three saves in goal. UNH senior netminders Mitch Osman (Herndon, Va.) and Dan Sirota (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) combined for nine saves.

Selected to the All-Tournament team from UNH were senior Aaron Brunner (Dumfries, Va.) and junior Tyler Tibbs (Beaverton, Oregon).

The Wildcats return to action Saturday September 25 when they travel to Hartwick for a 1:30 p.m. start.
