SKI DUO COMPETES AT JUNIOR NATIONAL EVENT
ANCHORAGE, Alaska  -- Katie Miller (Lenox, Mass.) and Harrison Harb (Contoocook, N.H.), both of whom competed as freshmen on the University of New Hampshire ski team in 2008, recently competed at the U.S. Junior National competition.

Miller competed in the Olympic Junior Girls 18-19 year old 5K freestyle race and completed the course in 16 minutes, 54.3 seconds to finish in fourth place. Miller ended her 2008 Wildcat season strong with 18th place in the 5K freestyle at the Eastern Championships. She pointed for the ‘Cats in the 5K free at both the Dartmouth and St. Lawrence winter carnivals, as well as in the 10K classic at the Bates carnival.

Harb raced in the Olympic Junior Boys 18-19 year old 10K freestyle event and was timed in 29:55.2 to finish in 16th place. He earned points for the Wildcats in the 10K classic race at the Vermont Winter Carnival in the ’08 circuit season.

UNH finished in 11th place at the 2008 NCAA Ski Championship.
