DURHAM, N.H. – Former University of New Hampshire men's hockey player Jeff Silengo (Madison, Conn.) has signed with the Florida Everblades of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). The organization announced the transaction Friday.
"I am very happy for Jeff," said men's hockey head coach Dick Umile. "I wish him nothing but the best of luck in his future endeavors and I know that he will succeed."
Silengo had a career year as a senior with the Wildcats as he put up 15 points on eight goals and seven assists through 35 games. He notched the game-winning goal against Brown University (Nov. 12) and registered the first shorthanded goal of his career in a 3-0 win over Northeastern (Nov. 15) on the road. Silengo matched his career high mark of two goals to help the 'Cats secure a 4-2 victory over Notre Dame (Jan. 31) who was ranked 14th in the nation at the time.
Silengo finished his career as a Wildcat having played 123 games over his four years. He tallied 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points. He netted one shorthanded goal and three game winners.
