– While Wisconsin’s Blake Geoffrion collected the 2010 Hobey Baker Memorial Award on Friday night at the Frozen Four in Ford Field, Bobby Butler (Marlboro, Mass.) proudly represented the University of New Hampshire and the men’s hockey program throughout the weekend as a Hobey Baker “Hat Trick” finalist.

“It’s been a fun week; it’s a great honor to be here with Gustav (Nyquist of Maine) and congratulation to Blake (Geoffrion). It’s definitely an honor for UNH, my teammates and everyone that helped me along the way throughout my four years at UNH,” Butler said.

Butler, who is just the second New Hampshire player to be named a Hobey Baker “Hat Trick” finalist, was an honored guest at the national semifinal games on Thursday night and participated in a Fan Fest autograph session and skills challenge with fellow finalists Nyquist and Geoffrion on Friday afternoon. Butler, his family and friends as well as Coach Umile were on hand Friday night during the nationally televised awards presentation on ESPNU. Butler concluded his responsibilities with the Hobey Baker Award press conference following the live show. Congratulations to Bobby Butler on a great season and being named a Hobey Baker “Hat Trick” finalist.
